The aim of this webinar is to equip psychologists and others with knowledge and skills to support workers and workplaces within an approach promoting an integrated approach to workplace mental health. The content will draw on positive organisational scholarship principles, the integrated approach to workplace mental health (LaMontagne et al., 2014) and similar models (e.g. Parker & colleagues ‘Thrive at Work’), and recent State & Territory regulations and codes of practice for managing psychosocial hazards at work, to provide a contemporary overview and examples within the current Australian workplace context.
Two applied case studies will centre the education sector/school workforce at the individual and organisation (school) level.

The SMART work-design model was developed by Prof Sharon Parker and colleagues to enable a focus on the positive aspects of our jobs, and supports us to redesign work in schools to provide satisfying roles while still meeting school goals.
This framework explains the fundamentals of good work design and encourages you to develop solutions for your school workplace that make work more meaningful, interesting, and motivating.
